Message from our new State Deputy
All, please see the email message below from our new State Deputy, Corey Coonen. Thanks for your consideration and prayerful support of Corey in this new role. Jim Sutton, GK
First off, thank you for your time and service to the Knights of Columbus. Whether it's been a few months or many, many years of service--each one of our members has a valuable impact on our local Parish and Community, with your charitable efforts.
2020 hasn't started as anyone would have envisioned.
Many of our neighbors are suffering in our local communities concerning possible layoffs, or lessened hours, given the current Pandemic and local restrictions. Many of our Parishes, as well as parishioners, are suffering. Many charitable organizations and groups that we have historically helped in the past may be suffering from a decline in charitable donations.
Despite all of these struggles, now is the time for each of us to ACT to MAKE A DIFFERENCE!
For the Knights to continue to do our great charitable works into the future, we need to continue to bring new families into our Order.
That is why I'm reaching out to each of you today.
As State Deputy, over these next three months--I am challenging each member to bring one new Knight into our Order.
Will you answer the challenge?
You may be aware of the changes concerning our Ceremonials in the past year. A new member can now join our Order and become a 3rd degree Knight! Supreme and our State Council have also introduced 'ONLINE EXEMPLIFICATIONS,' which allows us to bring new members into the Knights despite the social distancing and mass gathering restrictions. Now more than ever, it is easy for you to bring a man into our Order!
Whether it be a family member, a friend, or one of your fellow parishioners--we all have the potential to play a direct impact on the success of our Order by bringing in a new member despite everything we are facing.
Father McGivney's vision was to have vibrant councils in each Parish. Our Supreme Knight Carl Anderson exclaims best: 'EVERY CATHOLIC MAN OF AGE (17.5 years and older) SHOULD BE OFFERED THE OPPORTUNITY TO JOIN THE KNIGHTS!'
If you are so inclined, I would appreciate your response with a potential Knight that one of our Field Agents, Regional Membership Coaches, or State Officers could reach out to regarding joining the Knights of Columbus.
If you wish to make the reach instead feel free to do so, share with these men the many reasons to join by visiting
or visit the Supremes website.
Thank you very much for playing this integral part in fulfilling Father McGivney's vision!
Now the Journey Begins!Viva Cristo Rey!Vivat Jesus!
